Photoelastic determination of the stresses in the foundation of the nuclear-power station Bugey 2
Abstract The axisymmetric floor of the reactor building of the nuclear-power station Bugey 2 was stress analyzed experimentally using a two-dimensional photoelastic model. The modulus of elasticity of the concrete and the maps of moduli of deformation of the soil were taken into consideration. Photo...

Photoelastic determination of the stresses in the foundation of the nuclear-power station Bugey 2 |
abstract |
Abstract The axisymmetric floor of the reactor building of the nuclear-power station Bugey 2 was stress analyzed experimentally using a two-dimensional photoelastic model. The modulus of elasticity of the concrete and the maps of moduli of deformation of the soil were taken into consideration. Photoelastic materials with different moduli had to be developed especially to simulate the properties of the soil. © Society for Experimental Mechanics, Inc. 1975 |
