In the second part, the propagation of such waves over a circular cylindrical surface of layered earth model of cylindrically aeolotropic material is considered and the corresponding dispersion equation is derived. The change in the dispersion equation for such waves, due to harmonic variation in the thickness of the cylindrical crustal layer when the earth is composed of anisotropic material, has also been considered. | ||

On the propagation of love waves in an infinite cylindrical surface |
abstract |
Summary In the first part of this paper the propagation of Love type waves in an infinite cylindrical surface of transversely isotropic material with a central core of different material is investigated. © Birkhäuser-Verlag 1974 |
