Reevaluation of these sequences revealed that M. celatum type 2 strain ATCC 51130 was 100% identical to Mycobacterium kyorinense type strain, but differed substantially from M. celatum types 1 and 3 at these genes. A phylogenetic tree analysis placed M. celatum type 2 in proximity with M. kyorinense, with a clear-cut distinction from M. celatum types 1 and 3. Reevaluation of these sequences revealed that M. celatum type 2 strain ATCC 51130 was 100% identical to Mycobacterium kyorinense type strain, but differed substantially from M. celatum types 1 and 3 at these genes. A phylogenetic tree analysis placed M. celatum type 2 in proximity with M. kyorinense, with a clear-cut distinction from M. celatum types 1 and 3.
