Abstract Understanding the composition of gene lists that result from high-throughput experiments requires elaborate processing of gene annotation lists. In this article we present GOAT (Gene Ontology Analysis Tool), a tool based on the statistical software ‘R’ for analysing Gene Ontology™ (GO) term enrichment in gene lists. Given a gene list, GOAT calculates the enrichment and statistical significance of every GO term and generates graphical presentations of significantly enriched terms. GOAT works for any organism with a genome-scale GO annotation and allows easy updates of ontologies and annotations. © Adis Data Information BV 2005 |

GOAT works for any organism with a genome-scale GO annotation and allows easy updates of ontologies and annotations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Gene Ontology</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Gene List</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Annotation Data</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Term Enrichment</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Annotation File</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Shaulsky, Gad</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Enthalten in</subfield><subfield code="t">Applied Bioinformatics</subfield><subfield code="d">Springer International Publishing, 2004</subfield><subfield code="g">4(2005), 4 vom: Dez., Seite 281-283</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)SPR035647698</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:4</subfield><subfield code="g">year:2005</subfield><subfield code="g">number:4</subfield><subfield code="g">month:12</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:281-283</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">https://dx.doi.org/10.2165/00822942-200504040-00008</subfield><subfield code="z">lizenzpflichtig</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_A</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">SYSFLAG_A</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_SPRINGER</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">4</subfield><subfield code="j">2005</subfield><subfield code="e">4</subfield><subfield code="c">12</subfield><subfield code="h">281-283</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
