Taste/taste potentiation as a function of age and stimulus intensity
Abstract Bouton, Dunlap, and Swartzentruber (1987) and Davis, Best, and Grover (1988) have shown that the aversion conditioned to a target taste can be enhanced or potentiated by the presence of a second taste during the conditioning episode. In the present experiment, groups of young (80-day-old) a...

abstract |
Abstract Bouton, Dunlap, and Swartzentruber (1987) and Davis, Best, and Grover (1988) have shown that the aversion conditioned to a target taste can be enhanced or potentiated by the presence of a second taste during the conditioning episode. In the present experiment, groups of young (80-day-old) and old (150-day-old) rats were exposed to a CS composed of one or two tastes, respectively, prior to lithium-induced toxicosis. The results indicated that taste potentiation was shown by the younger subjects only when weaker fluid concentrations were employed. However, the effect was shown by the older animals under both weak and strong concentrations. © The Psychonomic Society, Inc. 1990 |

However, the effect was shown by the older animals under both weak and strong concentrations.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Conditional Stimulus</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Saccharin</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Taste Aversion</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Saccharin Solution</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Saccharin Aversion</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bailey, Scott A.</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Becker, Angela H.</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Grover, Cathy A.</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Enthalten in</subfield><subfield code="t">Bulletin of the Psychonomic Society</subfield><subfield code="d">Springer-Verlag, 1973</subfield><subfield code="g">28(1990), 3 vom: Sept., Seite 201-203</subfield><subfield code="w">(DE-627)SPR037022717</subfield><subfield code="7">nnns</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="1" ind2="8"><subfield code="g">volume:28</subfield><subfield code="g">year:1990</subfield><subfield code="g">number:3</subfield><subfield code="g">month:09</subfield><subfield code="g">pages:201-203</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="856" ind1="4" ind2="0"><subfield code="u">https://dx.doi.org/10.3758/BF03334003</subfield><subfield code="z">lizenzpflichtig</subfield><subfield code="3">Volltext</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_USEFLAG_A</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">SYSFLAG_A</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="912" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">GBV_SPRINGER</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="951" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="a">AR</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="952" ind1=" " ind2=" "><subfield code="d">28</subfield><subfield code="j">1990</subfield><subfield code="e">3</subfield><subfield code="c">09</subfield><subfield code="h">201-203</subfield></datafield></record></collection>
