Improving the Wear Resistance of Gear Teeth by Cyclic Quenching with Inductive Heating

Abstract Cyclic heat treatment of steel samples is considered as a means of increasing their abrasive wear resistance. Cyclic heating of 65Г steel parts to 450°С increases their wear resistance by 40% in comparison with traditional inductive quenching.
