Results Recommendations regarding pimary tumors of the appendix were formulated on the basis of the collected evidence. Conclusion Primary tumors of the appendix are rare and a high index of suspicion is required not to miss a potentially life threatening medical condition. © Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2021
