Cytotoxicity study against HT29 and COLO320DM by using different assays was performed. The prepared system was incorporated in enteric-coated gelatin capsule and evaluated for parameters of drug release and in vivo roentgenography study. The loading capacity of Lycopene was observed to be 90 ± 0.256% and exhibited release of 93.81 ± 1.2172% at 60 min. In vitro cytotoxicity study of developed system against COLO320DM and HT 29 was found to be better than pure Lycopene. Batch F2 showed 81 ± 0.55% release at 12th hour. The in vitro and in vivo X-ray studies exhibited drug targeting exclusively to the colonic site, without its premature release. Graphical abstract | ||

The loading capacity of Lycopene was observed to be 90 ± 0.256% and exhibited release of 93.81 ± 1.2172% at 60 min. In vitro cytotoxicity study of developed system against COLO320DM and HT 29 was found to be better than pure Lycopene. Batch F2 showed 81 ± 0.55% release at 12th hour. In our study, we have prepared a dosage form containing isolated Lycopene loaded in nanotube for its targeted release in colorectal cancer. Phosphatidylcholine and Polyvinylpyrrolidone K30 were used for stability of the system. Further, it was characterized for various parameters along with loading efficiency, and in vitro release. Cytotoxicity study against HT29 and COLO320DM by using different assays was performed. The prepared system was incorporated in enteric-coated gelatin capsule and evaluated for parameters of drug release and in vivo roentgenography study. The loading capacity of Lycopene was observed to be 90 ± 0.256% and exhibited release of 93.81 ± 1.2172% at 60 min. In vitro cytotoxicity study of developed system against COLO320DM and HT 29 was found to be better than pure Lycopene. Batch F2 showed 81 ± 0.55% release at 12th hour. The in vitro and in vivo X-ray studies exhibited drug targeting exclusively to the colonic site, without its premature release. Phosphatidylcholine and Polyvinylpyrrolidone K30 were used for stability of the system. Further, it was characterized for various parameters along with loading efficiency, and in vitro release. Cytotoxicity study against HT29 and COLO320DM by using different assays was performed. The prepared system was incorporated in enteric-coated gelatin capsule and evaluated for parameters of drug release and in vivo roentgenography study. The loading capacity of Lycopene was observed to be 90 ± 0.256% and exhibited release of 93.81 ± 1.2172% at 60 min. In vitro cytotoxicity study of developed system against COLO320DM and HT 29 was found to be better than pure Lycopene. Batch F2 showed 81 ± 0.55% release at 12th hour. The in vitro and in vivo X-ray studies exhibited drug targeting exclusively to the colonic site, without its premature release.
