520 | |a Abstract Temperature is one of the ubiquitous signals that control both the development as well as virulence of various microbial species. Therefore their survival is dependent upon initiating appropriate response upon temperature fluctuations. In particular, pathogenic microbes exploit host-temperature sensing mechanisms for triggering the expression of virulence genes. Many studies have revealed that the biomolecules within a cell such as DNA, RNA, lipids and proteins help in sensing change in temperature, thereby acting as thermosensors. This review shall provide an insight into the different mechanisms of thermosensing and how they aid pathogenic microbes in host invasion. | ||

Microbial Mechanisms of Heat Sensing |
abstract |
Abstract Temperature is one of the ubiquitous signals that control both the development as well as virulence of various microbial species. © Association of Microbiologists of India 2022 |

This review shall provide an insight into the different mechanisms of thermosensing and how they aid pathogenic microbes in host invasion.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Microbes</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Pathogen</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Temperature</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Thermosensors</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Virulence</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Unni, Gopika</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Khurana, Paramjit</subfield><subfield code="0">(orcid)0000-0002-8629-1245</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Enthalten in</subfield><subfield code="t">Indian journal of microbiology</subfield><subfield code="d">Poona [u.a.], 2007</subfield><subfield code="g">62(2022), 2 vom: 03.
