520 | |a Abstract In this study, the nanocomposite of γ-$ Fe_{2} %$ O_{3} $ and reduced-graphene oxide (RGO) with 10% wt RGO was synthesized via the combination of the modified Hummers and co-precipitation methods. The structural properties of the γ-GFO powder and tablet were characterized through X-ray diffraction analysis, field-scanning electron microscopy, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller analysis, Raman spectroscopy, and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. After undergoing heat treatment at 120 °C, the tablet exhibited a nanoporous structure with an $ S_{BET} $ of 94.5 $ m^{2} $/g, which was slightly higher than the $ S_{BET} $ of the powder sample. Batch and fixed-bed column studies were conducted to evaluate the performance of γ-GFO in the removal of heavy metals from aqueous solutions. Results showed that the RGO/γ-$ Fe_{2} %$ O_{3} $ (γ-GFO) tablet showed an individual adsorption efficiency of 99.7% for As (V) after 45 min and good simultaneous adsorption capacity for the five heavy metals As, Pb, Cr, Fe, and Mn. These results suggested that γ-GFO is very promising for applications in adsorbing heavy metals in borehole water filters. | ||

These results suggested that γ-GFO is very promising for applications in adsorbing heavy metals in borehole water filters.</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">γ-GFO, co-precipitation</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Maghemite</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Heavy metal</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="650" ind1=" " ind2="4"><subfield code="a">Adsorption, borehole</subfield><subfield code="7">(dpeaa)DE-He213</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bui, Thi Hue</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Huan Pham, Van</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Bui, Thi Hoan</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Pham, The Kien</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Nguyen, Duy Cuong</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="700" ind1="1" ind2=" "><subfield code="a">Nguyen, Thi Lan</subfield><subfield code="4">aut</subfield></datafield><datafield tag="773" ind1="0" ind2="8"><subfield code="i">Enthalten in</subfield><subfield code="t">Journal of porous materials</subfield><subfield code="d">Dordrecht [u.a.] : Springer Science + Business Media B.V, 1995</subfield><subfield code="g">29(2022), 6 vom: 21. Simultaneous adsorption of heavy metals on mesoporous reduced graphene oxide/γ-$ Fe_{2} %$ O_{3} $ nanocomposites |
abstract |
Abstract In this study, the nanocomposite of γ-$ Fe_{2} %$ O_{3} $ and reduced-graphene oxide (RGO) with 10% wt RGO was synthesized via the combination of the modified Hummers and co-precipitation methods. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature 2022 |
